Entry of the International Design Competition for the New JINJU NATIONAL MUSEUM

Branding &#38;amp; Exhibition Planning - Jihoon Lee
	The Jinju National Museum, dedicated to the late Joseon Dynasty, the Imjin War, and regional archaeology, will relocate from its current site in Jinju Fortress to a new facility opening in 2028. As part of the architectural design competition team, I led the exhibition planning process and later developed the museum’s brand identity.I collaborated with architects to define the museum’s architectural vision and designed the full exhibition plan, branding system, and environmental graphics. This included developing the logo, typography, signage, and brand applications across print, digital, and physical spaces.

	#2 Building Design Concept
	Based on Jinju’s geography and historical legacy, the design concept emphasized the museum’s role in preserving heritage while presenting it through modern, functional architecture.

	#3 Branding
	Inspired by the proposed building form and its functions, I created a visual identity featuring a custom logo and typography. The brand system conveyed authority, cultural depth, and accessibility, adaptable across all media.

	#4 Exhibition Planning
	Eight thematic sections were curated according to historical chronology and artifact type. Visitor flow was mapped to guide an immersive narrative, from Permanent Exhibition 1—the origins and tragedies of the Japanese Invasion—to Permanent Exhibition 2, celebrating Korean victories and resilience.

Web &#124; Social &#124; Print &#124; Paid Campaign
	Card&#38;amp;Beyond is a merchant services company offering POS systems, service robots, e-commerce platforms, and digital marketing solutions. As In-House Design Lead, I oversaw all visual and marketing communications across web, print, and social. My primary focus was on a 360° marketing initiative that strengthened brand visibility, increased website traffic, and generated high-quality leads.






	#1 Role &#38;amp; Responsibilities
	I led the redesign of the company’s bilingual website and positioned it as the central hub for all digital campaigns. This included developing the content strategy, UI design, and CRM integration. The site became the key destination for traffic driven by paid ads, SEO, and social campaigns—contributing directly to revenue growth.

	The objective was to drive conversions—calls and contact form inquiries—through strategic content and paid media. I created SEO-friendly and platform-optimized assets (graphics, video, animations) to deliver targeted messaging across search, display, and social platforms.

	I established a scalable brand system with clean typography, modular layouts, and approachable imagery. The visual tone emphasized trust and clarity, tailored for small and mid-sized business owners. This system was applied consistently across all channels, from web to print.

	#4 Website Redesign
	I led the end-to-end rebuild of the company’s Korean-English website using WordPress. The site featured a clean, conversion-focused layout, mobile responsiveness, and CRM-enabled forms for lead capture. It served as the landing point for both organic and paid traffic.

	#5 Social Media Campaigns
	I created and managed animated and static content for Instagram and Facebook, promoting services, customer stories, and offers. Paid ad campaigns were targeted by industry and demographic, increasing engagement and driving users to the website.


	




	#6 Pay-Per-Click Campaigns
	I segmented services into five product categories and developed keyword-based search and display ads. Targeted campaigns and remarketing increased visibility and conversions by reaching audiences actively researching merchant services.

Print &#124; Web &#124; Digital Signage &#124; Competitive Research
	For the years of Coronapocalypse, especially the COVID-19 pandemic and its resulting social issues, PNC Bank has prudently run various awareness campaigns to encourage their customers with steadfast financial support by celebrating diverse cultural holidays and heritage, and delivering warm-hearted messages saying to cherish the loved ones near and far.

I was in full charge of campaign productions such as concept development, research, pitch deck preparation, and creation of animated digital signages and print ads with media variations by spec and language(EN/KR/CH) for local target groups in the US.

	Inspired by geometric elements from iconic landmarks in a vast desert, the new Egypt brand system was created to represent its long history and immortal cultural heritage.

	#1 Logo &#38;amp; Typeface
	Inspired by the typographical elements of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs engraved on the walls, I designed the new logo to establish their new national brand identity system and then created various branding collaterals within it.

	In celebration of the 80th anniversary year of its founding, Vitasoy actively ran festive promotional campaigns throughout 2020 by launching a series of web mini-games as championships and unveiling a fresh new look for their product packaging.
Targeted at the younger gen that is more familiar with the digital environment, most social posts had been designed in a more interactive or animated way to increase vitasoy80th.com’s traffic with the Vitasoy brand experience online.
Utilizing brand assets and photoshoot images, I created visual content such as animated teasers, recipes, and holiday celebration posts in various formats.

Kung Fu Tea Franchise Store Opening&#38;nbsp;

Retail &#124; Interior
	Kung Fu Tea, the largest bubble tea brand with over 350+ locations across the US, opened their flagship store on 23rd street in Manhattan in partnership with TKK Fried Chicken in late 2018.  

Under Kung Fu Tea’s brand guidelines, I carried out various production tasks such as the wall graphic, furniture design, 3D modeling, etc. Making daily punch lists, I also supported the site supervision and communications between the office and construction workers.

	SMiNY was a collaborative project between Seoul Business Agency and Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce that aimed at creating a new promoting opportunity for small businesses from both cities during the COVID-19 pandemic by introducing and pairing original products of two brands: Seoul Made and Made in NYC. The pop-up event had held at Industry City, Brooklyn in mid-May 2021.In this project, I designed all printed collaterals for NYers to meet various contemporary products affiliated with SMiNY, supporting the development of its e-commerce website with their UX design team.
